Hours Time Tracking App Reviews

Keeps crashing

I would happily give this app 4 or 5 stars based on features and efficiency. But the iPhone app crashes so much I can keep it open longer than a few seconds most of the time. And the desktop app gets stuck loading and it slow quite often as well. I would use this much more if it functions properly.

I love the interface

I love using the app. Better time management

Perfect

This app is everything I hoped for!

Almost perfect

The only feature Id really like to see in the app that I find missing or difficult to retrieve is a graphed display of my time. Id really enjoy bar and pie charts breaking my time down by day, week, and month. I think its important that this be easily accessible on screen, in the app. Logging and billing work great, but giving me a heads up of how to be more productive based on an analysis of my past time expenditures is really what Im shooting for in the app. Thank you, hours, for making a great idea come to life.

Ever since the 2.0 just a pile of bugs.

Timer not reliable. Watch notifications part the point of not being useful and into downright awful. Its like there is barely any sync between watch and phone. Dont know why they felt like they needed to branch into online and break the whole app instead of giving us the features that we asked for.

Useful but buggy notifications

Hours is generally a great app for keeping tabs on various projects. However, I have issues where a notification will tell me that a timer still running when it actually isnt. Also, I would expect the notification to disappear when I do start or stop a timer after a notification tells me about it. Still, its a great app and its reporting features are top notch.

The App works... Watch is still buggy, but useable.

I bought an Apple Watch specifically so I could track my time with this app. On the phone this app is working very well. On the other hand using the watch requires some patience. 1. Wait. Seriously, give the watch app a moment to sync when the app loads and between taps. 2. Dont tap multiple times. The app crashes or doesnt save your time when you do this. 3. Always stop a timer on the watch before starting a new one. Im not sure why this is an issue, but the app often doesnt register a new timer has been selected. It just stops the time. 4. Dont adjust your time on the watch. This can cause time blocks to overlap. 5. If you need to do anything complicated, get your phone out. Dont even bother trying the watch. My conclusion: the watch is great for changing tasks quickly without searching for your phone. You will always need to stop timers before starting a new one, but it works fine if you give it time to respond. Hopefully the app will continue to improve.

I use this daily

If I were to write an app to capture my billing time each day, this would be it! So easy to use, create your projects/clients once and just hit start and stop when you switch between them. If you forget to do one you can just manually add a time block. Email time reports whenever you want for billing/tracking.
